Eminent musician Ismail Darbar, better famed for his terrific tunes for films like ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’, ‘Devdas’ and ‘Black’ is all set to don the director’s mantle now. This untitled flick is likely to hit the floors this May. However, Ismail Darbar is reluctant to reveal anything at this point.
It is learnt that the able musician forever wished to become a director. Ismail Darbar is also said to be a pro in the technical aspect of filmmaking. However, for now he is busy giving shape to his dream and doesn’t wish to reveal much until he has decided on the starcast.
Confirming the dope, Ismail Darbar affirmed, “Yes, it is true that I am getting into direction but I will reveal everything at the right time.”
When coaxed to reveal more on his film, Darbar added, “So far whatever work I have done has been talked about, so rest assured when I make a film, it will also be talked about. All I can say is that the film is based on a real-life incident. My film will go on the floors in the next couple of months.”
So has he revealed his plan of getting into direction to filmmaker and dear friend Sanjay Leela Bhansali yet? “Yes, I did mention to him before he left for Paris for his show. I have not discussed the subject with him but he knows that if I take up something, I will do justice to it. He will always be there for me just as I am always there for him,” signs off Darbar.
