The year 2007 wasn’t really an A.R Rahman’s year with only ‘Guru’ making its entry into the chartbuster. But 2008 definitely promises to be different for the maestro who returns back to the limelight after a brief hiatus. And what a return does he make!
Apparently Rahman took a sojourn from Bollywood due to technical reasons since he wished to shatter the supremacy of audio giants who more or less were always willing to compromise with musical standards for personal benefits.
Nevertheless, Rahman sails back to the arch lights this year with Ashutosh Gowariker’s ‘Jodhaa-Akbar’ that already has the nation drooling over its mesmerizing melodies. Also in queue are other enterprising affairs counting Subhash Ghai’s ‘Yuvraaj’, Aamir Khan starrer ‘Ghajini’ as well as his production venture ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’ and also Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s ‘Dilli 6’.
With a deluge of A.R Rahman offerings to look forward to, 2008 definitely promises to be all the more melodious for all Rahman fanatics.
