Megastar Chiranjeevi, along with his family member watched the preview of R.P Patnaik's 'Srinu Vasanthi Lakshmi', which is the remake of Tamil superhit 'Kaasi'.

After watching the film, Chiru was so thrilled with R.P's performance as a blind man that he said even though awards aren't given to remade films, this one had to be made a special exception. Also 100 members from the SVL unit pledged their eyes to Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust's eye bank.

The film is slated for a release on March 26th, and in most of its theatres the 'Eye Pledge' forms of CCT are being given out, and donors who wish their eyes to be given to others, after death can fill the form and sign the pact.

For RP though who has really entered this glam world after staying in the fringes for long as a music director, this will be just a short stint at acting. As a self-proclaimed statement, he would be concentrating on direction to satisfy his creative thrust.

And he has decided not to anymore do music for films which he is not the director of. Ofcourse it is known that he will one day make an exception to somebody, but as of now telugu film industry is one rehasher short.
