Chakram is produced by Siva Raju and Venkat Raju under the banner Geeta Chitra and directed by Krishna Vamsi. In the lead are Prabhas, Charmy and Asin. The film is in its postproduction and is expecting a release in the month of March.

Asin, who plays the female lead in the film, is actually Malayali. After rendering strong and effective performance in ‘Amma Naanna O Tamil Ammayi’, ‘Sivamani’, ‘Gharshana’ and ‘Lakshmi Narasimha’ she has strengthened her foothold in the Telugu cinema working against big stars.  For her forthcoming project with Prabhas she has dubbed for the film in her actual voice for she has learnt to speak fluent Telugu now. She is blooming in her career due to her hard work and effort. Everything about her proves that!
