It is not uncommon in Tollywood to see people make decisions based on superstitions. But MS Raju has been carrying it a little too far for his own good, may be.

It is now known for almost every little kid in town with a school bag that MS Raju was the producer of 'Varsham', may be even director Sobhan was not that popular. And then the 'Nuvvu Vasthavante' song which became such a rage that during the election campaigning of BJP, Krishnam Raju used the song to attract audience. All these suggests the kind of hit 'Varsham' was.

Now on to the real news. MS Raju is planning yet another movie with Sobhan and Mahesh babu under the lead. Of course, the movie's title is also decided. It is 'Sainyam'. But then the shooting starts only on August, which is quite late considering that the shooting of 'Naani' is already completed and 'Arjun' is nearing completion.

Close sources reveal that MS Raju who earlier gave the hit 'Okkadu' with Mahesh babu last pongal has decided that he will start his films with a safe pongal release in mind. This seems to be a natural decision, but in an age where producers are churning out films by half-a-dozen in one year, MS Raju is placing his bet only on a few films, that too smitten by the superstitious bug rather than his own judgement.

You could ask why then couldn't he make a film with Gunasekar as the director, considering that 'Okkadu' was a bigger hit. Of course there are financial constraints too to go with it.
