Was marriage an obstacle?

If you look at the career graphs of yesteryear heroines like Radha, Nadia and more recently Aamani, it is not hard to notice that their career graphs dipped tremendously after their marriage.

Contrast this with Ramyakrishna, Sonali Bendre, Simran and Soundarya. They still seem to be going strong. In Tollywood, where there is a general feeling that the audience do not accept married heroines it is an accomplishment by these artistes to make the mark they made.

Consider that Sonali Bendre was engaged when she did 'Manmadhudu', and it was known to the whole world. But then the movie turned out to be a huge hit. And what's more she still has offers from Tollywood. Ramyakrishna who recently married Krishna Vamsi is not exactly flooded with offers, but is no pushover in Tollywood. She's done about 4 films last year and her 'Khushi Khushiga' will be first release this year.

Simran who had a high profile marriage with her childhood boyfriend Deepak is also not on the fizzled out list. Though she is currently not doing any projects, she has promised that she will soon back to acting and to Tollywood.

So, after all it is the attitude and not the marriage itself which is the reason for the failure of some of the heroines.
