Reigning Tamil star Vikram will be making a comeback in Telugu with Tamil-Telugu bilingual Aparachithudu which was launched with fanfare at AVM Studios in Chennai. “I am happy to make a comeback with an anger-driven film,” declared Vikram whose get-up has already evoked enough interest. Earlier he did few Telugu films including 9 Months but it would be his ‘first’ after becoming a big star in Tamil. Probably he wants to expand his horizons in Telugu since his mass-centric Tamil hits Dhool and Saamy have been hits when remade in Telugu. Oscar Ravichandran’s ‘big-budget’ extravaganza is being helmed by ace director Shankar who is quite popular among Telugu viewers with his previous hits Gentleman and Bharatiyudu. “It’s a sci-fi thriller,” revealed the hit machine before rushing to record songs with composer Harris Jayaraj. Pretty Sadaf will play the female lead while another actress will be signed soon. Producer Ravichandran who tasted huge success with his maiden Telugu film Tagore, remake of his Tamil hit Ramana, seems to have gauged the pulse of Telugu audience prompting him to launch a bilingual which happens to be director’s first film without AR Rahman. The director who drew flak for his last film Bad Boys should be thinking of regaining the confidence of the viewers with yet another ‘star-centric’ movie.
