In spite of having given birth to two kids, Khushboo is still very much against playing mother on the screens. 

She had recently produced the hit film 'Giri' which was directed by her husband. There was the role of a mother in the film. Everybody thought that since Khushboo herself was producing the film, she would make a guest appearance of sorts in the film.

But, she flatly refused citing various reasons. Finally, they had to bring Devayani to play the role. It turns out that director SJ Surya had approached her to play the mother role in the film 'New' ('Naani' in Telugu). The role was that of a young mother. Khushboo refused. The role went to Devayani, who is lot younger than Khushboo is in real life.
