‘Amma Nanna Tamil Ammai’ was remade in Tamil as ‘M Kumaran S/O Mahalakshmi’. The film is now going to be remade in Kannada.

‘M Kumaran S/O Mahalakshmi’ turned out to be a decent hit in Tamil. The film has given Asin a very good debut in Tamil. Though she hasn’t been flooded with offers yet, the industry feels that she has a bright future in Kollywood. 

But the film is going to now be remade in Kannada and Meera Jasmine is going to play the role that Asin did. Coincidentally, both Meera Jasmine and Asin are from Kerala. And, Roja is likely to play the hero’s mother. In Tamil, Nadia played the role. 

The film is a welcome distraction for Meera Jasmine who is very much troubled by her family problems.
