Very secretly Roja is going about playing the role of a mother in a Kannada film. 

After her marriage and a kid, Roja tried her hand in politics, but didn't quiet make it. So, she has decided to concentrate on films again. Even after announcing a comeback, Roja hasn't managed to find many films in Tamil. She presently has only one film, based on a folk dance that is very popular in Tamilnadu. 

So, when she got an offer to play the role of a mother in a Kannada film, she gladly agreed for a fee of Rs 5 Lakhs. Presently her policy is to act in any role that comes her way. 

There is a joke in the Tamil film industry about her- she would even play the role of a grandmother for the right fee. Will you, Roja?
