Director Bharatiraaja has the reputation of having launched many leading faces in South Indian films. But when it came to his own son, he failed. 

Bharatiraaja had been trying many a times to launch his son as a hero in films but almost all the films had flopped. Around that time Bharatiraaja himself got an opportunity to act as a villain in Manirathnam's 'Aayutha Yezhuthu'. Finally the veteran director seems to have accepted the fact that his son's acting career is a lost cause. 

The son, Manoj has decided to give up acting. But he has plans of shifting to directing films. Soon, he is going to make his debut as a director. 

We hope he has a better track record this time.
