Actress Daisy Bopanna is making her foray into Telugu films with a story based on the Zamindari system. Set for a Diwali release, this yet-to-be- named film also stars Telugu star Ravi Teja. The film is being directed by Shoban of Varsham fame, "I play an NRI girl who returns to her village and falls in love there. The film is based on a power struggle about a piece of land and despite being in a rural setting, has elements of both modern and village life." Daisy, who is incidentally half Telugu and half Coorg will be doing her own dubbing for the film. "My Telugu was pretty rusty. So once I brushed up on it a bit, I got the hang of it," she says.
