"I was scared more about the screenplay than the bull-fight sequences in the film!" The confession came from Kamal Haasan, while talking about "Pothurju", a re-make of his Tamil hit "Veerumandi".

The screenplay, which narrated the story from two opposing perspectives, was a daunting challenge. Kamal, who plays a daredevil in the film, said he grew as a filmmaker in the process.

He was participating in a function to celebrate the opening of "Pothuraju" to packed halls across Andhra Pradesh.
