Meera Jasmine, the National Award winner and the heroine of the hit film 'Gudumba Shankara' gives us the reason why she had entered Telugu films.

Meera Jasmine made her debut in Malayalam and was both famous and notorious in the industry- famous for her capabilities as an actress and notorious for the gossips that surfaced about her at regular intervals. Suddenly she was out of Malayalam and was in Tamil. She soon became one of the highest paid actresses in Tamil with just one film- 'Run'. Her market collapsed after 'Aayutha Yezhuthu'. Now, she is in Telugu. Why the switch?

She says, 'I have lost the thrill of acting in Tamil films after just a few films. There is nothing much for an actress to do in the Tamil film industry. That was when I got some offers in Telugu and I have accepted them. I've stepped into the Telugu film industry with lot of expectations.'

Wait a minute. There isn't much for an actress to do in Telugu either!
