Actress Sridevi has been honored with Vamsee Art Theatres International's Lifetime Achievement Award.

Sridevi is one of the actresses form South who was able to become the Number 1 heroine in Bollywood. Since then, nobody has been able to be the undisputed No 1 heroine in Mumbai. Though Madhuri Dixit came close to winning the spot, she didn't quiet make it.

She then got married to Boney Kapoor, film producer and elder brother of Anil Kapoor and had quit the industry. She is now making a comeback of sorts with a TV serial and a possible film with her co-star of yesteryears, Kamalhasan.
 
Sridevi was presented with the award for her contribution for films- especially Telugu films. Speaking at the ceremony, Sridevi said that Telugu cinema always remain special to her.
 
So, will she act in a Telugu film too'
