In spite of a fabulous opening collection, there is still uncertainty about the fate of ‘Gudumba Shankara’. 

On day 1 of the film, the collections have been so high that exhibitors were planning to organize special screenings to handle the crowd. The film has had a fantastic collection in the city of Chennai too. 

Still, there is fear that the initial curiosity about the film will soon die away and the collections will begin to fall. The biggest negative point about the film is that the audience isn’t comfortable with seeing Pavan in a comedy role. 

Even his loyal fan following isn’t going to help him make a superhit of this film. The film hasn’t been drawing the kind of word-of-mouth publicity that would help it recover its costs and become a blockbuster. 

Maybe he should learn a thing or two from brother Chiranjeevi about versatility before he attempts at it.
