Sumant has been signed up to play the role of a Police officer in a new film.

The film is a remake of the Malayalam film ‘Sathyam’, which was released recently. In the Malayalam version, an upcoming young hero, Prithviraj, had played the lead. Priyamani was the film’s heroine. It has been confirmed that Priyamani will not be playing the heroine in this film.

Presently, Sumant is busy with the shooting of his film ‘51’. The new film’s shooting is likely to begin after completing this film and after a tiny break.

The film hasn’t been named yet. It is the story of a young man who kidnaps the Police Commissioner of the city because he wouldn’t let this young man become a cop.
