Dr Rajshekar had been away for a while from the film industry. ‘Aapathudu’ is his comeback film and he wants to make sure that he pares no expense for the film. 

Anjala Zaveri, the Bollywood actress who is better established in Telugu than in Hindi, is going to be the heroine of the film. Initially, Rajshekar planned to make the film a low budget affair, but he decided to change his plans. The director of the film is his favorite- Muthyala Subbaiah. 

"We decided to give up plans of making a low budget film and have decided instead of going for a big budget one," Rajshekar said. 

Like all Rajshekar film, this one too is going to be full of emotions, action and sentiments. The music of the film has come out well. Ramana Gokul has composed the film’s tunes.
