Everybody thought that she was going to get married and go away, but Meena has proved them wrong.

These days, Meena is on a comeback trip in Malayalam with four films, two with superstar Mohanlal, in her hands. She seems to be the favorite heroine for senior heroes in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada too. There are reports that she is even learning Kannada.

She is very hopeful of winning the national award next year. Why? "One of the roles that I have got right now looks very promising. The family astrologer has said that I'm likely to get the National award for the role."

What about your marriage?

"There are rumors that I have given up the idea of getting married and that I'm not getting any grooms. Fact is- lots of proposals are coming my way. My family is busy considering them. But, before I quit the industry, I want my performance to be talked about on the national level," she said.
