Veteran actor and father of film producer Allu Arvind,Allu Ramalingaiah passed away in early in the morning today. He was 81.

He was admitted to the hospital on the 14th of this month when he slipped and fell on the floor, injuring his head. He was first treated upon at Apollo Hospital and was then shifted to Global Hospital. The end came due to complications from the injury. His family members are rushing to Hyderabad in the moment of grief.

Allu Ramalingaiah began his career in the year 1953 and had acted in almost 1000 films! His daughter Surekha is married to the Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi. Allu  Ramalingaiah also has the distinction of having won the Padmashree award.
