'Gayam' directed by Ram Gopal Varma, had in the lead role Jagapati babu, Urmila and Revathi in a prominent role. With the super success of the film the career of Jagapati babu soared to great heights.

Now a sequel of the blockbuster film is being planned. The film will be presented by Ram Gopal Varma but will have a new producer. Jagapati Babu will play the main lead in the film while Bipasha Basu of Bollywood is going to play the heroine for the sequel. For ‘Gayam – II’, which is the working title of the film, Revathi and Sirivennela Sitarama Sastry are also in the cast. Praveen Sri, an associate of popular editor Shankar is making his debut as a director with this film. The shooting will begin in the last week of November.
