Karnataka is fast becoming the source of many good looking actresses in South Indian films. Ramya is the latest contribution from the state.

Grand-daughter of former Chief Minister of the state, Ramya made her debut in the Kannada film 'Abhi'. The film was remade in Telugu as 'Abhimanyu' and Ramya was the heroine in that film too. The film was then remade in Tamil as 'Kuthu' and Ramya again was the heroine in the film.

All the three versions were big hits. "Rajkumar Uncle's wife was the one who was very much interested in getting me to do the role," she said.

But Ramya these days is known for her dazzling glamorous roles in Tamil and Telugu. Is she okay with it?

"I don't know why everybody makes such huge fuss about being glamorous? What is wrong with good-looking glamour? Most of the film-goers are young people. I want to be the dream girl of the audience," she said.

Ramya is presently working in a Tamil film with Arjun. The film is being produced by Khushboo.
