Director Udayakumar is looking for a new face for his next project.

Udayakumar is known in Tamil for his clean films that do not have vulgarity or any other kind of cheap titillation. In spite of these, his films have almost always done well. He is presently directing the Telugu version of the Surya starrer Tamil film 'Nanda'. The Telugu version stars Junior NTR in the lead.

For a long time he was away from the Tamil cine industry. When asked why, he says, "Tamil cine industry had become very glamour-oriented these days. I stayed away because I didn't want to compromise on my values. This sudden tilt in the film making style  has happened due to the change in the age group of people who watch the films. 

"These days, the film industry is being kept alive by the 15-25 year crowd. They want fun and excitement. And, that's what the film industry is giving them right now. I'm planning to make a youth-oriented film soon in Tamil and am presently looking for a heroine who is beautiful as well as talented."
