Meena plays Umashankari's sister-in-law in 'Swami', a new film.

Umashankari, the tear-jerker specialist is starring as the heroine in the Telugu film 'Swami'. She plays dual role in the film. Reports say that the roles are very powerful. And, Meena plays the wife of Umashankari's elder brother.

The industry is very skeptic about Meena's willingness to accept the role of sister-in-law of a junior heroine who has hardly established herself yet, especially when most of the film revolves around her.

But, her fate in Malayalam seems to be improving. She has signed up two consecutive films with Malayalam superstar Mohanlal. Meena has to be very careful with the kind of films she is going to sign up now. If she goes about accepting roles of sister-in-law, then she will create an impression as if she is way over the hill.
