JB is now a short form for Jagapathy Babu. He is now busy with the film 'Pedababu'which is directed by one of the Paruchuri brothers, Murali.

The film has a distinct traditional tinge and it will be another one for Jagapathy babu after 'Kabaddi Kabaddi' which was on the same lines. Surprisingly, Kalyani is featuring opposite to him in this film too.

Jagapathy babu who had rather a dull year to start with 'Athade Oka Sainyam' not exactly making the mark, this film holds some amount of promise to this wonderful actor. The actor who started his film career with gangster roles and then moved into family sentiment themes finally settling for a masala kind of image hasn't been able to deliver the kind of hits he is famous for.

The last decent hit was 'Kabaddi Kabaddi' was a village based theme in which humour was sprinkled generously. Jagapathy babu is not the one to crib about failures. He has been in the industry long enough to realise the ups and downs of the field. He had this to say when contacted during the shooting of the movie.

"It's true that I had a lacklustre year with 'Dum' and 'Athade Oka Sainyam' biting the dust. But if you remember, 'Kabaddi Kabaddi' was a hit  and that's exactly the genre that we are trying in this movie. The whole industry has now exhausted action and love based subjects and its time we paid some attention to our basics. Only getting back to the basics will get our cash boxes ringing."

Hope it will ring loud for everybody to hear and get into the bandwagon.
