It has not been easy for the film makers to find the right actor to play the role of the cancer patient in the remakes of ‘Munnabhai MBBS’.

In Tamil, they had to shuttle between Dhanush and other heroes. Finaly, they had settled down for the young Malayalam hero Jayasurya to play the role of the Muslim young man who is diagnosed as a cancer patient.

In the Telugu version of the film, Rohit has been offered the role. The sole point of consolation will of course be the item number that will be made on him.
