Vijayashanti has decided to move back to acting since her Bharatiya Janata Party received a drubbing in the Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh as well as at the national level.

"I cannot stay away from acting," is what the actress, who has starred in 200 films, said even though she had earlier intended to join active politics after quitting acting.

"I want to spare time for both films and politics," she said.

She is already busy with her next release "Nayudamma", which she describes as "a unique concept". She plays a don and also "a sacrificing role".
