Telugu films are hitting big times in Kerala market. Malayalam dubbed versions of Telugu films are doing exceptionally well in Kerala and Allu Arjun is the hot favorite among the youth. His youth-centric films and dance have gone down very well with the youngsters.

Dubbing business run really well last year in Kerala. Allu Arjun's ‘Arya’ was dubbed into Malayalam with the same title and it went on to make Rs.30 to 35 Lakhs. It was followed by ‘Lakshmi’ and ‘Boss I love You’, both of which did very well at the box-office. This year too, the trend is very much alive. Allu Arjun's recently released film ‘Happy’ has become a super hit. It collected a whooping Rs.4.22 lakhs from Padma theatre in its first week and the trade expects it to fetch Rs.70 to Rs.80 Lakhs.

Now, several Telugu films are lined up to be dubbed into Malayalam. The dubbing rights of Allu Arjun’s ‘Desamuduru’ has being bought for a record a record Rs.12 Lakhs and films like ‘Bunny’, ‘Yogi’, ‘Athadu’ and many others are getting ready to be dubbed. The action, glamour and good music found in Telugu films have attracted the youth audience in Kerala. Now, this is a big challenge for Tamil cinema.
