Noted actor Venkatesh is donning the khaki uniform for the third time in his career for 'Gharshana', remake of Tamil hit "Khaka Khaka", to break his jinx in this genre.

"I am playing an encounter specialist and the treatment is quite realistic far away from our regular cop stories", reveals Venkatesh. He has pumped iron and worked on his cop look.

He had kept away from the role since his earlier two films including 'Super Police' did not impress. He began to woo family audiences with 'feel-good' movies. Out of 50-odd films, he has tasted success in love stories, family dramas and even comedies; but a blockbuster in a cop story has eluded him.

Top actress Asin plays the female lead. It is Venkatesh's second film with Harris Jayaraj after 'Vaasu'
