Chaaya Singh, who herself is a heroine, has agreed to appear for a song in Vikram’s new Tamil film ‘Arul’. Is this a smart decision?

“Initially, I was very hesitant too. They didn’t even offer me big money. Only then I thought, ‘Why not do this song?’ Vikram has become very successful in Tamil and Telugu. Director Hari is very successful in Tamil. If I’m going to be a aprt of this success team, it is going to do wonders for my image.

“When this thought struck me, I myself took my car and reached Karaikudi,” she said.

Did she give a thought about getting typecasted?
