The Telugu superhit ‘Gajendra’ is being remade in Tamil. The film stars Vijayakanth in the lead. Our very own Laya is going to make her Tamil debut in the film.

VM Durai is producing the Tamil version of the film for Evergreen Movie International. The first shot was taken near Mahabalipuram, a tourist spot near Chennai. The first shot taken was that of Vijayakanth offering his prayers to Lord Ganesha.

It would be tough for Laya to manage both election campaigning and the shooting in Tamil. But, the gritty lady will surely not let such things as busy schedule to bog her down.
