Fame and popularity had got Katrina Kaif the required break into films. Her first film was in Hindi, Kaizad Gustad’s ‘Boom’.

The film flopped, but, Katrina and her voluptuous figure were big hits. “I don’t know what is better- films or modeling. But, all I want is to be in the limelight for a long time. There are more fans for an actress than for a model. And, I want to change the impression that actresses can’t act,” says Katrina Kaif as she makes her debut in the Telugu cine industry.

But, there is an unwritten rule in the Indian film industry- Bollywood actresses learn acting only in Telugu films. Most of them make their debuts here. Katrina Kaif is not going to be different either.

Venkatesh is going to be the hero of the film in which she makes her Telugu debut. Even before the film, named ‘Malleshwari’ hit the screens, she had been signed up to act with Nagarjuna. Dance choreographer Lawrence is going to direct this film. It is going to be about dance.

Katrina says that she will shortly make her debut in Tamil films too.
