The trade doesn't seem to be excited by the latest Nagarjuna flick 'Nenunnanu' after the initial 2 days of run in the city.
The film did start with reasonable expectations, but the talk going around about the film doesn't give them enough reason to be excited about the prospects.
It was already known that Nagarjuna doesn't have much crowd pulling power like, say Chiranjeevi. The last three films of the star were hits because each of them was different in some respect. 'Santosham' was a family entertainer which had interesting love angle, much like the hindi superhit 'Kuch Kuch hota hai'. 'Manmadhudu' was easily the best comedy movie which had Nagarjuna in an eccentric character and was a superhit. 'Sivamani' showed him as a rowdy police officer, albeit some decency.
What the trade pundits feel is that 'Nenunnanu' has got nothing new to offer the public in terms of characterization or content of the movie. And with the general public opinion dwindling about this, It should be a miracle if 'Nenunnanu' survives another housefull 3 weeks, feels a distributor who doesn't want to be named.
Wonder what the Nag fans have to say about this.
