Shankar Dada MBBS will be the next Chiranjeevi release for the year after the decent hit 'Anji' .

The movie has uncharacteristically received a lot of media attention to the extent of gossips suggesting that another actor was actually preferred to Chiranjeevi. Though hardcore Chiranjeevi fans, like the ones in Tirupathi who made a big issue about 'Malliswari' replacing 'Anji' in one particular theatre, will not confirm to this gossip, this is the kind of depth to which media has gone to garner news about this flick.

So naturally when the movie goes on floor for the first time, there is bound to be excitement and more news in the air for the greedy journalists. That event happened on 25th of Feb in Annapoorna studios and the opening shot was shot on Chiranjeevi and Srikanth. Parachuri Venkateshwara Rao gave the clap.

Later on the press meet with Chiranjeevi, Allu Aravind, Gemini kiran and Jayanth was arranged to formally announce the event.
