A young hero who is a craze in Telugu Film Industry, A Top Director from Tamil and a Number One Music Director in the country. What happens if these three work together on the same film?...Naturally, it's going to create a craze among the audience.

The other plus point of the film is Amisha Patel. Amisha Patel who has stolen many young hearts with her debut film "Kaho Na Pyar Hain" and proved her acting skills with "Gadar" is the heroine opposite Okkadu in this one. The cutouts put up for "Nani" publicity have already been attracting people. The poster that has Mahesh kissing Amisha on her lips is certain to create craze and waves among the young audience.

With three of his eight films done so far declared hit and one of them "Okkadu", being a blockbuster super hit, Mahesh has been considered as one of the top heroes. With a hit like "Murari" after the flop "Vamsi" and with a blockbuster like "Okkadu" after the disastrous "Bobby", Mahesh has proved himself to the audience.

Even after the failure of "Nijam" that came after the hit "Okkadu", it didn't do any harm to his image. Critics praised his acting even in this simple film dealing with bribing and revenge. His performance as a simpleton and then transforming into a killer showed that he is a mature artist. There were other reasons that led to the film's disaster.

Mahesh said, after the success of "Okkadu", now he knows what type of stories to choose. You can see and tell the level of confidence he has that he will be successful with his latest film "Nani". It's a film that is completely entertainment based and doesn't try to give or preach any message. In Mahesh's words - "For the first time in my career I am doing a complete entertainer. This is most complicated character I have played so far."

In producer and Mahesh's sister Manjula's words - "No hero has ever tried to do such character before. This film will project and highlight the acting talents of Mahesh." Director S.J.Surya says - "Though the title gives you a soft and cute feeling...the film has many ingredients like heroism, emotion, action, and sentiment. It has all the ingredients that will attract Mahesh's fans and mass audience."

There are seven songs in the film. Rehman has composed all seven in differently. The film was planned for a release in the month of October or November of last year but got delayed due to Rehman's music. It's a dream for Mahesh to work with Rehman, so, even though they knew the film is going to be delayed due to Rehman's involvement they had chosen him.

Everybody were happy that Rehman was finally able to compose all seven songs. As all the songs have come out excellent none of them feel sorry about the delay in the making. The audio of "Nani" was released on the 26th of March through Aditya Music.

The film is scheduled for an April release. We need to wait to see if Mahesh will attract audience as "Nani".
