Chiranjeevi has decided to campaign for Telugu Desam Party during elections this year.

TDP and BJP are forming a coalition in Andra Pradesh. BJP has fielded Vijayashanti in the Hyderabad constituency.

TDP has fielded well known film producer Ashwini Dutt in Vijayawada. He happens to be a very close friend of Chiranjeevi. The Andra Pradesh Chief Minister Mr Chandrababu Naidu had asked Chiranjeevi to campaign for Ashwini Dutt. Chiranjeevi has accepted the request.
 
Chiranjeevi is the Telugu spuerstar. If he is going to campaign for TDP, the party is going to feel extremely motivated. Chiranjeevi is going to be the star campaigner for TDP. He woudlnt be touring all over the state. He is going to be selective about his campaign. Vijayawada is going to be one such constituency.
