The Tamilnadu government for the awards for the 'Best Artistes' for the last three years at one go! Not only that, the Government also announced the date of Award giving function.

As per the announcement, November1, was slated to be the 'D' day. The Governor of Tamilnadu Ram Mohan Rao will present the awards, and the Chief Minister will give away the framed Meritorial Certificates.

Along with this announcement, the Government had started the preparations for the function earnestly, and it is almost in the finishing stage. Now there is a sudden break and everything had come to a screeching halt.

Due to political compulsions Governor Ram Mohan Rao has resigned. Because of that he is not in a position to participate in this function.

No body knows whether this function will be conducted after the new Governor had been sworn in, or any other alternative arrangements will be made.
