After Baba, Rajin’s next venture is ‘Chandramukhi’ Pooja for this was held at ‘Nadhigar Thilagam’ Shivaji’s house to day. Bigwigs from Cine world had attended and wished the film all success.

Since Baba didn’t do well at Box office, Rajini wanted to give a hit next time. So he has been discussing lot of new stories wit many directors. Teja, S.J.Surya, Hari are among few, with whom Rajini held discussion in this regard.  Of late, in Kodambakkam, the talk of the town was about who is going to direct Rajini’s next movie. Recently K.S.Ravikumar was slated to direct Rajini’s ‘Jakkubai’- which was supposed to be the next film then. Even announcement were made to this effect. But, Rajini was not satisfied with the story. So the idea was shelved. Again the million dollar question about what would be the next movie, is in everybody’s  mind. Just as a climax in a thriller, the all important announcement has made unexpectedly on Shivaji’s birthday which falls on 2nd October.

In this situation, information about Chandramukhi’s Pooja has sent to journalists. The Pooja is to be held at Shivaji’s house. Very soon, Journalist and film personalities, were seen at the venue- Actor Prabhu and his elder brother Ramkumar welcomed everyone at the entrance itself. At exactly 10.45a.m Rajini entered, dressed in milk white dhothi and shirt in his usual white Ambassadar. Then he walked into the place where pooja was to be held. There, a photo in which Shivaji and his mother offering their prayer to the deities, this photo was decorated for the occasion. In front of this photo the pooja was conducted as per tradition. After this, Rajini, Prabhu, Ramkumar, and the Director of ‘Chandramukhi’ P.Vasu were seen greeting each other. The moment was emotionally surcharged.

After the pooja, the surprising visitor was Kamalhasan. He greeted Rajini by shaking his hands, and wishing this venture all success.

Before this, Shivaji’s wife Mrs.Kamalammal, put tilaks on all those who are acting in this movie. Then. The photo session began. After this, Rajini got ready to leave. The Journalist tried to ask questions, But Rajini left the place without answering any questions.

The shooting of this film is going to start the day of after tomorrow, at Shivaji’s house itself.

The Chandramuki’s is going to be released on April 14, 2005.
