In the beginning Vadivelu, When he was roaming the studios, with all the humbleness of the new comer used to say, "give me Rs.30 (Thirty) and just a square meal a day, I will act continuously for 3 days!"

Now the way he is behaving creates lot of problems for the producer, not only that, he incurs loss of upto 3 lakh per day. 'Kaatrullavarai' is a mini budget film. The producer wanted to add comedy element in the movie. So he got costly comedian Vadivelu to act in his movie. The rate was fixed as 2 lakhs per day!

The script of the scenes, in which Vadivelu was to act had been written by his stooges themselves. The Director of the movie had nothing to do with that. If the shooting was to begin at 9.00 a.m. Vadivelu would come only around 11.00 a.m. Not only that, he will bring the 'Script' along into him. Only after this, all departments, from Art department to Camera will start getting ready making arrangements according to the 'script'.

Because of this, again two more hours will be wasted. The producer stands to lose Rs. 3.lakh because of this. The producer and the director are just hesitant to talk about this, fearing Vadivelu's anger and the consequences. But they are just grumbling about Vadivelu's unjustifiable behavior.

Though he comes in very late, and wasting much more time still, in the evening he is very prompt in getting into his car at sharp 6.00 p.m. "working day" over. Even the Hero and Heroin along with other actors are staying back till late night if it is necessary. This 'act' of Vadivelu, created lot of irritation and anger, in the production unit

If Vadivelu, continues to 'act' like this, 'Vaigai Puyal' can't remain stationed at Kodambappkam. Instead ''Puyal' may have to move and disappear in Bay of Bengal.
