Chennai, Oct 20 (IANS) After "Vasoolraja MBBS", the title of another film has stirred controversy.

"Sukkiran" is the title of the film in the making, but it has elicited serious objection from the producers of another film.

Prominent director S.A. Chandrasekaran is directing "Sukkkiran", featuring Ravikrishna as the hero and "Gilli" Vijay in a guest role.

The title was reportedly registered with the Film Chamber in June. But Master Movies, a production company, is said to have registered the same title for one of its films in January with the South Indian Film Producers' Guild.

The company has reportedly complained to the Guild. The company seems unwilling to give up its claim to the title just because Chandrasekaran is a prominent director.

It remains to be seen if the guild and other organisations in the film industry will intervene and resolve the controversy.
