Directors who launch new heroines usually develop lot of attachment with them. They become very protective about them and gush a lot about them. 

From directors like Cheran and Charan, the disease has now spread to Parthiban. About his new heroine Madhumita he says, "When I was looking for an offer to direct, people used to look into my eyes and say that I had a spark in them and that I should be a hero.

I saw the same spark in Madhumita's eyes. I had selected her from a hundred other candidates. Now everybody, including Balachander himself, appreciates her acting," he bragged about his 'spark'.
