The film 'Captain Prabhakaran' was based on the life of Veerappan. Vijayakanth is known for his gushing patriotism. Now that Veerappan is no more, he has gone overboard with his emotions.

He said, "Credit belongs to the Tamilnadu-Karnataka STF. Vijayakumar had accomplished this in his second trip. Crores were spent to capture Veerappan. Now they can spend it on welfare purposes."

The man who played Veerappan in the film, Mansoor Ali Khan said, "When you live by the gun, you die by it too."

Kamal's speech was the highlight. "Killing 500 elephants and hundreds of our brothers is not a sign of bravery. I'm happy that Veerappan is dead. This should have been done a long time ago."

Kannada actor Rajkumar celebrated the news by distributing sweets to everybody. Rajini had volunteered to go to the jungle to rescue Rajkumar when he was kidnapped. There is no reaction from him yet on the news. 

Rajini always believes in taking his own time to make a mark.
