Vijay's 'different' role

Vijay had sworn not to try anything new. He is going to relax his principle for his father SA Chandrashekar's new film 'Shukkaran'.

The court set alone of the dysfunctional MGR Film City is still rented for filmmakers. It was rented now for 'Shukran's shooting. This happened to be the most important scene in the film. Guess who was waving his hands frantically and arguing?

Our Vijay himself!  AM Rathnam, better known as Ravi Krishna is the hero of the film. Vijay plays the role of the advocate who turns the story around.

The scenes were shot for only a few days in Film City. SA Chandrashekar seemed more involved in shooting the scenes with Vijay than he was with the hero's shots for the simple reason that though he just plays a guest role, the film depends heavily on his star value.
