Director Cheran's Associate director is Nataraj. He changed his name as Sarath Surya. A very enthusiastic young man who, like Cheran have innate concern about Social issues. He is at present directing a film. The story of the film deals with the Kaveri Issue and the suffering of the people who lives in Kaveri Delta regions. A film which deals a very important social problem fully. The inauguration of this film was conducted recently at Chennai Loyola College.

In this function among others Cheran, Bharathi Rajaa, Lingusami, have participated. A trust was established for this movie. In this trust, the persons who have done lot for the cause of Kaveri problem, like M.S.Udhya Moorthy, Cheran are members of this trust.

The shooting of this movie, has been carried out in Tanjore, Trichy regions of Kaveri Delta. The next phase of shooting is scheduled at Thiruvannamalai. The film unit have decided to collect money from public to create this movie. Tickets of this film are going to be sold to public. Form the earnings, this film will be produced. Students from colleges across Tamilnadu are going to participate in this venture.

When the shooting takes place in Thiruvannamalai, Actor Nasar, is going to go around street by street to sell the tickets. In this film, all actors are new faces, except Nasar and that too in a guest role.

Pioneer in this type of venture is John Abraham. That is. "Collecting money from people to produce a movie to propagate about people's problem". In this way he had taken a film "Agara harathil Kazhuthai"
