'Copying' Kannadigas

Kannadigas are making hue and cry over allowing other language films in Karnataka. At the same time they don't think twice about copying other language movies, songs, Dance sequence etc.,

Recently, in a Kannada film, they had just adopted the tune of the "Thiruda Thirudi" song -an all time hit song in Tamil without bothering to attempt any change from the original. The producer of "Thiruda Thirudi" Krishna kanth came to know about it, and reacted swiftly, and got a stay against that Kannada movie.

Likewise, a recent hit movie in Kannada in which Ramya Krishnan, acted more liberally than usual. 'Story' of that film is about love between 40 year old lady and  20 year old youth.

In this film, there is a song depicting this pair enjoying themselves. The whole scene of this song is 'lifted' from Mani Rathnam's film 'Thiruda Thiruda'. In Tamil the song is 'Thee Thiththikkum thee'. Obviously Manirathnam didn't bother to go to court for this.

Kannadigas now blocking Direct Tamil movies from being screened in their state. But they have no qualms whatsoever to copy from Tamil movies.

How can anybody deal with this kind of hypocracy?
