To please the Chief minister, who by her actions, pleased the whole film fraternity ; the entire Tamil film field , is going the hold a mammooth and grand function to felicitate her, on November 8th . In This function, a very huge sum is going to be donated to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund.

Stringent Act against VCD Piracy, and many other relief and remedial measures to benefit the film would have made the entire film industry feel dizzy with happiness. The producers have already given advertisements thanking the Chief Minister for her actions, in Dailies, running into pages. In continuation of that trend, now they wanted her to feel as happy by conducting a grand gala function to felicitate and thank her.

Accordingly, Producers Association, Actors Association Directors forum, Distributors Sangam, Film Workers Council- every body connected with film industry have come together to make this function be a grand success.

The planning of the function, got a kick start in the meeting convened yesterday at the Office of Producers Association. In this meeting the President of Producers Association K. Muralitharan, Vice President K. Rajan, Secretaries Anbalaya Prabakaran, 'Chitra'Lakshmanan. Peffsi Secretay Shiva, Treasurer Rajendran are some of the people who had participated in this meeting.

This function, is going to be held at Nehru Indoor Stadium, Chennai on Nov 8th as part of Celebration, a star- studded programme is planned.  After this the Chief Minister will be led to the dias in a royal manner with grand style and fanfare.

Before the main event, a very big rally is planed in which everybody connected  to the film world will participate. The procession itself is going to be a grant event with Kavadi and Karagattam and other folk dances included in it.

To make this function, a memorable one, a committee is going to be formed. In this committee, representatives from all 'Sangams' are going to he included as members. The main factor in this felicitation is to donate a considerable sum, to the Chief Minister fund, which is to be given on that day to the ghChief Minister Jayalalitha.
