Though the Kollywood is attracting many new young actresses, from all four directions, on the other hand, the actresses, who are already there, are packing their bags and on their way out.

There are lot of informations and news items in the media about those who are just entering into the Tamil films. But there is hardly any mentioning of those who are silently moving out, due to lack of chances in the movies.

If we care to look into the other side, there are very many actresses, who comes in and disappears with in a very short period. Amongst them, young heroines like 'Gummalam' Rathi, and Sherine of 'Thulluvatho Ilamai' are deserved to be mentioned.

Entered the film world through 'Gummalam' and seen in a memorable and well enacted role in 'Solla Marantha Kadhai'. But after that she acted in a character role (read, 'Mother') that turned out to be a wrong move. After that she didn't get any chance, for quite some time, then came 'Adithadi', though she had 'performed' liberally, that too didn't change her fortune. So she might have decided that "enough is enough" and getting ready to go back to her original profession -Dentist.

Sherine's position is more pitiable. By her sheer presence, she attracted considerable attention though her film 'Thulluvatho Ilamai' But after that she got herself in to lot of gossips and suffered. Because of that she also lost lot of chances to act in films. Added to that, she also encountered love failure.

Now she is in a position of point- of- no- return. Nobody knows, including herself when her last film 'Kadal Thiruda' will gets released. Vexed and finding herself at the end of the road, she finally said goodbye to Chennai, packed her bags and vanished.

She would have remained in Chennai, but for the fact that her lover Roshan had opted for Subha Punja in his own movie. That was the last straw. Shunned by all sides, how can she remain in Chennai?
