From the period of late M.R.Radha, Atheism is coming rounds in Tamil films periodically. Now, Sathyaraj, Goundamani, Manivannan are continuing that trait in their films.

Sathyaraj is making fun of 13 year old swami, who got famous for his 'renuncatition' which had been widely published in all dailies and magazines in recent times. Sathyaraj called him as 'Comedian' then. The incident of Ramagopalan meeting Kalaignar and presenting him a Gita, and Kalaignar returns the complement by giving him a book by Veeramani, criticizing Gita. Sathyaraj is narrating this 'Snubbing by Kalaignar' to all who cares to listen.

Goundamani is now acting in a movie 'Manamdhan'. In this film, he is criticizing all swamis and seers rather too much. He dresses a young boy in Swami's attire, when the whole village turns in to pay respects to the young Swami, he questions their tendency by asking them 'How a small boy who could not even attend 'natures' call all by himself till yesterday, can turn into Swami all of a Sudden?

Apart from this, in this film, Goundar criticizing everything from Viboothi to Thiruparngunram he didn't leave anything that is remotely connected with a particular religion.

When this film gets released, religious minded people and organizations will have lot of things to oppose and agitate against
