‘Arasatchi’ has made Lara Dutta a busy actress in Tamil.

But, the problem is- she isn’t getting these offers to play the lead roles. All these offers are for ‘item numbers’.

Lara Dutta had given a fine performance as the heroine of the recently released ‘Arasatchi’. But, she failed to register in the audience’s minds.

If you are wondering why she is not happy about the ‘item number’ offers, she has a reason- she wasn’t the first choice either.
 
Thyagarajan is making a new film named ‘Police’ with his son Prashant in the lead. The film was supposed to have an item number featuring the ‘Sirikki mava’ (oops!) Ragasiya.

She wouldn’t accept the film for anything less that Rs 5 lakhs. So, Thyagarajan decided to go for Lara Dutta instead.

Lara Dutta has agreed to appear in the song. These days, she is busy trying to pile on weight in all the right places to make herself appealing to the Tamil film audience.
