Muralikrishna, who had directed 'Paarvai Ondre Pordhumae' is now making a film named 'Thirudiya Idayathai' with Kunal and Rohan in the lead. Subha, of 'Machchi, is the heroine of this film.

A press meet was held at Quality Inn Aruna regarding this film yesterday (29 September 2004). Director Muralikrishna said,

"Kunal plays anti-hero in the film. I have launched Rohan as the hero. Most of the shooting is over and the film is going to be released on the 26th of January. The film has come out very well, as planned. Bharani has scored music for this film too, as usual. I believe that the songs will add strength to the film. The cassette will be released during the first week of October."
 
How is the new hero Rohan?

He has worked hard. He wants to be known as a good actor. He cooperates very well. He had learnt dance and stunt for three months to prepare for the role.
 
How did you select the heroine 'Machchi' Subha?

We were considering many other heroines but they didn't have what I was looking for. That was when I invited Subha for a discussion. She had what I was looking for. I decided immediately that she was going to be the heroine.
 
Why do you continuously make movies with Kunal?

I made a film with Karhtik in between. So, you cant use 'continuously'. The Kunal whom you had seen in other films is very different from the one you are going to see in this one.
 
Is he going to play a very unusual role?

He plays an anti-hero in the film. He is neither a hero nor a villain. We had colored his hair and eyes brown. You will notice the difference when the film gets released.

The film's producer and hero, Rohan is Shereen's boyfriend. Why is Shereen not in the film?

Shereen is just a friend of Rohan's. Rohan himself will answer this.
 
Rohan, you are Shereen's boyfriend. Why is she not in the film?

I'm not Shereen's boyfriend. I'm her friend. Subha suited the role. So, the director chose her. I didn't intervene in the selection. I simply did what the director asked me to do.
 
There were talks that you might do a film with Shereen.
Things have changed now.
 
Will you get married to Shereen?

She is a very good friend of mine. We will never get married to each other.
 
Did you meet with Shereen recently?

It has been more than a month now.
 
Rohan didn't say another word since then (maybe in his heart he would be wondering if Shereen would ever return his heart).
